Cost savings thanks to the ACF corner press

The machine-based manufacturing process for cold-formed corners using the ACF corner press offers significant advantages over welding and grinding corners:

G

Quality improvement of your products

The corners pressed with the ACF CORNERFORMER in all formable materials offer exceptionally high and consistent quality.

G

Time savings

The significant simplification of the workflow automatically results in a reduction in non-productive time (handling, buffering).

G

Cost savings

No manual reworking. Our corner press technology eliminates the need for grinding and welding. Only one unskilled operator required. The ACF CORNERFORMER is extremely compact, requiring only approx. 1.5 m² of space.

G

Improved working conditions

The ACF CORNERFORMER causes no noise pollution and no accumulation of dirt. All this with flexible production of individual parts.

Your immediate benefits

  • After pressing the corner in galvanised sheet steel, no manual re-galvanising is necessary in the corner area.
  • A corner pressed in enamellable sheet steel is high-temperature dimensionally stable (above 960°C) and enables the highest quality enamelling.
  • Cold forming corners in INOX sheet metal means that no tarnish occurs in the corner area. This eliminates the need for pickling or grinding. The inside of the formed corners are smooth, precisely shaped, easy to clean and do not rust, which is particularly important in accordance with food technology regulations.

The time saved – a comparison that pays off

A door with four cold-formed corners, shaped using flexible CORNERFORMER tools, is compared with a door with welded and ground corners:

Production comparison

CORNERFORMER Multiflex
Approx. 52 seconds per door (including parts handling on the machine)

Conventional method
(welding and manual grinding) – steel sheet, approx. 12 min/door

Conventional method
(welding and manual grinding) – INOX sheet metal, approx. 18 min./door

Conventional method
(welding and manual grinding) – aluminium, approx. 24 minutes/door

ATTENTION: The times listed are production times INCLUDING handling time at the machine (FLOOR-TO-FLOOR TIME).
Additional time savings due to production optimisations are not taken into account.
The working time of the press brake is not taken into account.
